Plus fours are the more traditional garment which are fuller cut and fold over 4 inches below the knee, ]
Plus twos are the more modern equivalent with a 2 inch fold over and these give off a slimmer silhouette.
Breeks are slimmer and shorter still
Velcro works well on all fabrics.
The elasticated arrangement is more suited to the pure new wools and the washable range of tartans.
Strap and buckle is a more traditional feature and favours heavier fabrics such as corduroy, moleskin and Yorkshire tweed.
Our regular pockets are 100% cotton drill – moleskin pockets are more durable, they are warm and soft to the touch.

Unfortunately, no. We choose our fabric suppliers carefully, and if there are any issues with the cloth, we can order more or replace it if necessary. On rare occasions, if we deem a customer’s cloth appropriate for a very special occasion, we may use it. However, this is entirely at our discretion, and there is no discount for using a customer’s cloth.

Far too many ready made or off the rail garments make up much larger than the label states, DO NOT rely on this!
Our trousers have a nice taper to the hem and vary between 17″ and 18″ depending on the waist and leg sizes, you can choose this at checkout if you prefer something different
All of our garments are a traditional fit and sit on the natural waist and the rise is typically 11 1/2″, there are far too may variables to give an exact measure without knowing all other measures, if you would like further information or something different please get in touch.
